Exam Scheme & Paper Pattern :

The UKPSC Lab Assistant written examination comprises two distinct papers:

Paper I: This is compulsory for all candidates and includes 100 questions covering General Knowledge & General Studies, evaluating candidates’ awareness and comprehension of current affairs. Each question is multiple-choice, with one mark awarded for each correct answer. However, for every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted. Paper I has a duration of 2 hours.

Paper II: In this paper, candidates can choose their specialized subject, reflecting their expertise in the Lab Assistant role. It consists of 200 questions relevant to the chosen subject, also with multiple-choice format and negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Paper II extends over 3 hours.
